NIFOC

Don't understand what's going on
Woke up this morning,
All the hurt was gone
This is a new beginning
I'm back in the land of the living

WHAT THE FUCK?

So you thought you might like to,
Go to the show.
To feel the warm thrill of confusion,
That space cadet glow.
Tell me is something eluding you, sunshine?
Is this not what you expected to see?

Sometimes I feel my life is a movie. Sometimes there are attractive visual effects and there is a killer soundtrack, but the acting sucks and the plot is sometimes boring and predictable. However, now more than ever, I feel I'm headed towards a very surprising ending... one that will turn everything upside down and leave the audience with their mouths open in amazement... a really unexpected twist... you'll see..

In the meantime, just to get you prepared and in the mood, here's the list of my 10 best (surprise) movie endings of all time:

10. RESERVOIR DOGS

Reservoir Dogs contains a lot of what really great movies contain: Good actors in perfectly tailored parts, genuinely suspenseful moments, smart and witty dialogue and a great ending. Everything you've come to expect from Quentin Tarantino.

09. PRIMAL FEAR

Primal Fear is one of the best courtroom dramas that you will ever see. The story unfolds brilliantly. You are never quite sure if Aaron is guilty or innocent, and you will be guessing for the whole movie. The ending may or may not shock you, but it will definately get to you.

08. REQUIEM FOR A DREAM

Desire is the cause of the all suffering. The immense physical and psychological dependence causes great suffering and that's the moral behind Requiem for a Dream, one of the most intense movies I've seen.
The ending of the film, where the images of the four different main characters flash by at an increasingly rapid pace left me drained for weeks. After that, you don't ever want to see a movie again for a long time.

07. THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION

The Shawshank Redemption is without doubt one my favorite films of all time. Anyone who claims that they were not moved by this film is either lying or has a heart of stone. The story is of a man imprisoned at Shawshank Prison for the murder of his wife, which he did not commit. The film guides the audience through his years in incarceration and often solitary confinement, the prejudice, the abuse and the injustice in the prison system, and delivers an ending so powerful and so surprising that it must be hailed as one the greatest ending to a film of all time

06. ABRE LOS OJOS

Are you sure that's really you in the mirror? Abre Los Ojos is a dark, moody and disturbing film. The ending of this movie is frankly unsettling and it lingers in your memory for several days after watching it. The best you've seen in a long time. Bet you didn't expect this from an obscure Spanish movie.

05. SE7EN

Every once in a while, a film comes along that simply grabs you by the balls and refuses to let go, such is its power, its originality and its sheer audacity. Se7en is just that type of movie. The ending is definately hard to watch and impossible to enjoy but also impossible to forget. All you do is stare at the movie screen in silence for ages... that is that makes one fucking great ending.

04. MEMENTO

The best thing about Memento is that it begins with a killer ending! You watch this movie and you're completely lost... you don't know what's going on... but once you see the ending, everything that's happened for the last hour and a half all falls into place, and you go, "Oh, right, now it all makes sense."

03. THE SIXTH SENSE

The ending of The Sixth Sense will leave you spinning around, not only for its audacity but also because the revelation will cause you to completely re-evaluate the entire movie from a new perspective.

02. FIGHT CLUB

This movie is dark and disturbing, however, it is equally smart and stylistic. I found it hard to watch at points, but I couldn't turn my eyes away. I saw it on video, sat in amazement until the last credit rolled, and then watched it again. And again. And again. One of the best movie endings I've seen. -- it just blows you away.

01. USUAL SUSPECTS

The ending is what it's all about. This is a masterpiece of film making. A film so original in the way it handles the events. It's not original in the sense of its elements. But combined, it's quite a unique story. And nothing will prepare you for the ending. Never in a million years had I guessed what was coming. It shocked me beyond belief. It shocked everyone who was in the theater with me. I have never seen this happen at a movie before... when it was over... everyone, including myself, stoop up and applauded.

Fuck all that
We've got to get on with the film show
Hollywood waits at the end of the rainbow
Who cares what you write about
As long as your public reads it.

ELEPHANT

And it all comes down to you
Well, you know that it does
Well, lightning strikes,
maybe once, maybe twice
Ah, and it lights up the night
And you see your gypsy
You see your gypsy

This is my version of a buddhist fable that really got to me...

Once upon a time in a village far far away... there lived six blind men. One day an elephant came.

They had no idea what an elephant is. They said to each other, "Even though we would not be able to see it, let us go and feel it anyway."

"Hey, the elephant is a tree," said the first man who touched his leg.

"Oh, no! it is like a rope," said the second man who touched the tail.

"Oh, no! it is like a snake," said the third man who touched the trunk of the elephant.

"It is like a big hand fan" said the fourth man who touched the ear of the elephant.

"It is like a huge wall," said the fifth man who touched the belly of the elephant.

"It is like a spear," Said the sixth man who touched the tusk of the elephant.

They began to argue about the elephant and everyone of them insisted that he was right. A man who was not blind was passing by and he saw this. He stopped and asked them, "What is the matter?" They said, "We cannot agree to what the elephant is like." Each one told him what he thought the elephant was like.

The man replied: "Even though each of you is partly right,
all of you are wrong!" The moral of the story is that there may be some truth to what someone says. Sometimes we can see that truth and sometimes not because they may have different perspective which we may not agree too.

And a memory is all
that is left for you now
You see your gypsy
You see your gypsy

DUST IN THE WIND

I close my eyes only for a moment,
Then the moment's gone
All my dreams pass before my eyes,
A curiosity
Dust in the wind
All they are is dust in the wind

What would happen if I died?

The cool thing if I died is that all my debts will be paid... all the credit cards are insured, so that would not be a problem... and my life insurance policy is large enough to cover all my outstanding debts plus leave my son enough money to have a decent childhood... plus, it will give my wife an opportunity to re-do her life... to find someone who's not such a pathetic loser... and to give my child the father, the provider he deserves...

Same old song
Just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do
Crumbles to the ground,
Though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind, ohh

If I died would she sit at home & wonder if I really did loved her and why I even bothered?

What if I died? What would it mean to them?
A problem solved, no more fights,
no more complaints, a black cloud disappeared,
One less person to ask advice...

If I died today, would anyone notice,
If I died today, would anyone care?
Would the ones I love go on like nothing has happened,
Like nothing has changed.
Would the things I said and done matter anymore?
Does the world consider me important?
Or am I just another face in the crowd?
If I died today, would anyone cry?
If I died today, would anything change for anyone?

Now, don't hang on
Nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away
And all your money won't another minute buy
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
