I walk along these streets again
Like I’ve done a thousand times before
I watch the same old strangers pass by
The same faces I get to know
Each day a little bit more
Nobody really looks at me
Nobody cares where I have been
Nobody cares where I am going
Nobody even knows my name
I walk along these streets again
But shall not grin nor pout
I only come home tired and weary
Endlessly searching for that one thing
That will set me apart from the rest
Forever condemned
To be just another face in the crowd.
Like I’ve done a thousand times before
I watch the same old strangers pass by
The same faces I get to know
Each day a little bit more
Nobody really looks at me
Nobody cares where I have been
Nobody cares where I am going
Nobody even knows my name
I walk along these streets again
But shall not grin nor pout
I only come home tired and weary
Endlessly searching for that one thing
That will set me apart from the rest
Forever condemned
To be just another face in the crowd.
