Don't understand what's going on
Woke up this morning,
All the hurt was gone
This is a new beginning
I'm back in the land of the living

WINDS OF CHANGE ARE BLOWING BY....

If you don't like something - change it;
if you can't change it, change the way you think about it.
~Mary Engelbreit

I believe in music because music believes in me. Ever since I was a young boy, music has spoken to me - literally. In all the major events of my life, in all the most important decisions and especially in times of trouble, music speaks to me. I turn on the radio, and a song will always come on with the answer I'm looking for. And I can always feel when music speals to me... It's a weird feeling... I get a chill... and I get wrapped up in the song for a few minutes... the world around me ceases to exist... then, I know that is the one.

Music holds the secret,
To know it can make you whole
It's not just a game of notes,
It's the sound inside your soul

Perhaps, I could say it's kind of an angel speaking to me through songs...

That is the reason why I wanted to undestand English perfectly when I was a kid... I would spend hours and hours listening to songs... trying to understand the message within... and that is why I started buying 45s and LPs... at some point, I had more than a thousand 45's (actually, I still have most), about 300 LPs (most of them are gone now), and let's say 150 cassettes. Today, I own around 700 CDs and about 30 Gigs of MP3's... and that is why I came to love musical theater... because of the words and what they said to me. I know you can not undestand this... but then again, you don't have to

It's been a while since music had spoken to me... But yesterday it did... I felt all the clues... the chills, the magic, the words... and here's what it said...

"Take me to the magic of the moment on a glory night
where the children of the future dream away
in the wind of change"

It's time for a change, my friends... this is why the Dark Side is no more... this is a new blog... with a new look and a new outlook... but the winds of change don't just stop there...

Things do not change; we change. ~Henry David Thoreau

Well, we did... for better or for worse... it's a new game with new rules.
It's time for us to accept those changes and pay our dues.
There's nothing free... and neither is change.

But I am hopeful. Today I believe that everybody can be a winner, that Heaven helps those people who help themselves and that change can actually be benefitial for all the parties involved if there's a willingness to compromise and to work on equal terms... Sometimes you gotta lose a little to win a lot - and that's the price we have to pay for change.

What you have become is the price you paid to get what you used to want. ~Mignon McLaughlin, The Neurotic's Notebook, 1960
