NIFOC

Don't understand what's going on
Woke up this morning,
All the hurt was gone
This is a new beginning
I'm back in the land of the living

WHAT A LONG STRANGE TRIP IT'S BEEN

Any life should have a beginning, a middle and and end
Just not in that order.

I've at the very least slept 1 night in 25 states (50%) of the US...
I have also slept at least 2 nights in all of Central America (except Belize & Guatemala) and the Cayman Islands...

In the last 8 years, I have watched over 2200 movies. An average of 227.5 movies per year.

I own over 700 music CDs... and somewhere back in my old room, I still have close to 500 45's... at some point, I had over 300 LPs... but sold most of them... I kept about 25.

I have seen the following acts live in concert (in no particular order): Bruce Springsteen, Miguel Bose, Hootie & The Blowfish, They May Be Giants, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Emmanuel, Manuel Mijares, Ricardo Arjona (2x), Vanilla Ice, Information Society, Roxette, Bon Jovi, Survivor, Starship, Alejandra Guzman (2x), Miguel Mateos (2x), Soda Stereo (2x), Charly Garcia, Joaquin Sabina, Enanitos Verdes, Alux Nahual (2x), Tracy Chapman, Roberto Carlos, Flans, Atahualpa Yunpaqui, Juan Luis Guerra & 4:40, Luis Miguel, Kansas.

I have seen the following musicals... Cats (on Brodway), Jesus Christ Superstar (starring Ted Neely... the guy from the movie), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Evita (3 different productions), Hair, Cirque du Soleil's Alegria, A Chorus Line.

I have admired original paintings by Dali, Monet, Renee Margritte, Andy Warhol, Boticelli, El Greco, Wood, Van Gogh, Picasso, Miro, O'Keefe, Matisse, Pollock, Renoir, Degas, Seraut and Lautrec.

I once saw the sun set from the top the World Trace Center. I've had New York pizza in Greenwhich Village, Chicago Style pizza at Lake Shore Drive, Beignets at Cafe du Monde, a Philly Steak in Philly, New England Clam Chowder in Boston, a bowl of chilli in Cincinatti and mushroom soup at the Panama Canal.

I almost broke my neck at Niagara Falls, I have frozen my ass picking fresh berries in Maine, I have acted as a tour guide in NYC for 4 people (an argentinian, a brazilian, a guatemalan and a tico), I have been driven around the Indy 500 track, I have seen the Mormon Tabernacle Choir perform at the Mormon Tabernacle, I have felt the heat at an actual oil well drilling...

I have played in a basketball team, a soccer team (defense) and a baseball team (I'm a mean center fielder)... I have also tried to play American Football... I took 3 yrs worth of tennis lessons, 2 yrs of swimming lessons, I trained volleyball for about 6 months, I had a decent showing at track and field, I nearly broke my leg skiing, I broke my ass ice-skating... I went horseback ridding for about 5 miles, and cayacking for about the same distance... fell 3 times to the river...

I have seen the misery of death, I have seen the miracle of birth... I have entered a cooking contest, I won second prize in a photography contest, I also won first prize in a poetry reading contest... I have a trophy for acting and directing in a school play... Mine eyes have seen the glory... I was something of a radio strar when I was about 10... I've been interviewed on TV at least 5 times... I have been quoted on academic works... Some people have feared me... Some people cried for me and some beacuse of me... Some people have believed in me... Some people have really loved me through thick and thin...

And the movie is just halfway through... can't really wait to see how it ends...
