THE MEANING OF LIFE
The emperor orders his wise men to summarise all the knowledge of the world in one single book. As a result of long years of debate, the scholars produce a thick book. By this time, however, the emperor has grown old, aware that he won't have enough time to read such a thick book. So he orders his scholars to condense their thoughts into one thin book. By the time it's completed, the emperor is very old. He realises that even this thin book is too long. So he orders the wisest scholar to synthesize all the wisdom of the world in just one sentence. After long deliberation, the sage is ready to report. "What is it?" the emperor demands. And the wise man says: "The world is complicated."
People say that what we are all seeking is a meaning for life.
I don't think that that's what we are really seeking.
I think that what we're seeking is an experience of being alive,
So that our life experiences on the purely physical place
Will have resonances within our innermost being and reality,
So that we actually feel the rapture of being alive
